Short biography
The New York Times said in her obituary that Diana Holman-Hunt spent much of her early life in the care of her eccentric grandmothers, both of whom were well connected in society. They were the subjects of her first book, "My Grandmothers and I," published in 1960. Her second book, "My Grandfather, His Life and Loves" (1969), was about her grandfather William Holman Hunt, the painter who founded the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood in 1848 with his fellow artists John Everett Millais and Dante Gabriel Rossetti.
