Quite a readable tale of an Ibo university student- the first in the village to make it to Uni.
With great ambitions, Amadi, and the pride of his community, Amadi leaves his betrothed (a worthy girl, picked by his parents) to study. But here he encounters the educated and alluring Aduke Oluwu. Can he disobey his family and break his engagement?
Meanwhile a further - much worse- dilemma confronts him, when an unexpected female arrives at his accommodation...
Immerses you in 1960s Nigerian culture.
It all felt like it was panning out so well....maybe a bit of a happy ending?...keep on reading!… (more)
