Irish Times In Conversation Series Jennifer Johnston in conversation with Lelia Doolan JENNIFER JOHNSTON was born in Dublin in 1930. Her novels are internationally acclaimed, she has been shortlisted for the Booker Prize, and won the Whitbread Award. Her plays include Desert Lullaby (Lagan Press) and Selected Short Plays (New Island). She lives in Derry. LELIA DOOLAN has worked as an actor, singer, teacher, community activist, RTE director, Artistic Director of the Abbey Theatre, and Chair of the Irish Film Board. With Jack Dowling and Bob Quinn, she wrote Sit Down and be Counted. Please email bookings@dublinbookfestival.com to reserve a maximum of two seats for this event.
