Short biography
Amy Joy is an indie writer, artist, and web designer with probably a few too many degrees (two Bachelor’s and two Master’s), but she can’t help it: she really loves to learn. Her debut novel, The Academie (dystopian YA romance) was a Quarterfinalist for the 2012 Amazon Breakthrough Novel award and became an Amazon bestseller within months of its release. Amy Joy is also the creator of the What Happens Next?(TM) series for children 8-12, including The Princess and the Pepperoni Pizza, and she has a couple dozen more books sketched out for children from  toddler on up. Her other works-in-progress include a YA paranormal romance novel, Reach, and the sequel to The Academie.
Amy Joy’s is the co-founder and primary web designer for The Indie Writer’s Network, a social community for indie and aspiring writers, and the upcoming Revolution Indie, a network of sites featuring everything indie.
In her free time, Amy Joy teaches college writing.
