KAZU KIBUISHI & RAINA TELGEMEIER at the Alameda Free Library
Books Inc. in Alameda, Wednesday, October 22 at 6:30pm
Books Inc. and the Alameda Free Library present TWO #1 New York Times-bestselling authors for ONE fabulous evening! Kazu Kibuishi celebrates the latest in his bestselling Amulet series, Amulet #6: Escape From Lucien--Navin and his classmates journey to Lucien, a city ravaged by war and plagued by mysterious creatures, where they search for a beacon essential to their fight against the Elf King. And Eisner Award-winner Raina Telgemeier celebrates the follow-up to the wildly popular Smile, Sisters--Raina can't wait to be a big sister, but once Amara is born she realises things won't be quite what she had expected. Despite Amara's cuteness, she is a cranky, grouchy baby. Their relationship doesn't improve much over the years but when their family starts to change, they realise they must figure out how to get along like real Sisters.
