Join Left Bank Books, Blank Slate Press, and the Helen Matthes Library for a special Lit at the Library event. Enjoy readings from two authors, followed by a Q&A and book signing. A reporter with KMOX Radio since 1995, Kevin Killeen has confused listeners for the past ten years with is regular morning feature, A Whole 'nother Story. In Never Hug a Nun, Killeen's comic novel, he takes us back to his youth when he spent long summer days on the train tracks or hanging out at the Velvet Freeze and wishing he were a teenager. Jean Ellen Whatley is an Emmy Award-winning journalist cum author and has been a guest columnist for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, among many other publications. In her memoir, Off the Leash, Jean and her dog Libby set out from St. Louis and drive nearly 9,000 miles across America to revive her life. The authors' books will be for sale at the event courtesy of Left Bank Books. Attendees are also invited to a Lit at the Lake reception with the authors following the event.
