June Kim grew up in Korea till she decided to
come to New York and pursue her dream as a comic book writer/artist.
After graduating School of Visual arts in Manhattan,
she has been working as an editorial and commercial
illustrator. Kim's work has appeared internationally
in publications such as Teen People, Flaunt Magazine, The Insider, and Elle Korea. Although skilled in several different styles, she is most recognized for her work on the debut album cover and music video for the popular rock band JET.
As a cartoonist, she has been published in a few comic anthologies such as New Thing Vol. 2 and Broad Appeal. 12 days, Her first graphic novel published by Tokyopop, was released in November 2006.
