Bernard Kliban attended the Pratt Institute but left before graduating and travelled through Europe. He moved to California and became a Playboy cartoonist in 1962. He's best known for his collections of humorous cartoons about cats, drawn in a distinctive style. Today the Cat cartoons also are featured on many products including calendars, mugs, and t-shirts.
