Ted Kooser

The Utah State Poetry Society is delighted to present former U.S. poet laureate, Ted Kooser on Friday, April 20 at 7 p.m.

The society's 2012 Spring Festival Convention (registration form) will be held April 20-21 at the Airport Hilton. Ted Kooser, a past U.S. Poet Laureate, will be the keynote speaker. Rob Carney will also be a featured speaker.

This special event is free and open to the public.

You do not need to register for the Ted Kooser event.

Kooser's books will be available for purchase at the event.

Co-sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts and Utah Arts and Museums.

Come welcome the first winner of the Hall-Kenyon Award, Ted Kooser, a Pulitzer Prize-winning poet who writes the weekly “American Life in Poetry” column for many newspapers around the country. Kooser will give a reading after receiving the $5,000 prize, which will be awarded annually by the New Hampshire Writers’ Project. Gibson's will be there selling books.
