Maxine's new picture book, Oh, Harry!, the story of a mischievous young boy and a kindly ... (more)horse, is beautifully illustrated by Barry Moser. ...Can Harry be a calming influence on young Algernon Adams the Third? We'll find out! Maxine will also share recent poetry, we hope, and we'll have all of her many books available to be signed. Maxine will be joined by her longtime friend Deborah Brown, whose new volume of poetry, Walking the Dog's Shadow, is just out from BOA Editions. Walking the Dog's Shadow recently beat out nearly 800 submissions to win the prestigious A. Poulin, Jr. Poetry Prize. An evening of poetry, children's stories, and friendship in the arts. Pure delight!

On the third Wednesday of each month, the Poetry Society of New Hampshire meets to celebrate and grapple with the muse.
