R. L. Lefevers (Robin Lorraine when she's in really big trouble) has been fascinated by libraries and museums ever since she first set foot in one. She's pretty sure it's because of all the ancient mysteries sitting there on the shelves, just waiting to be discovered. She has also spent a large portion of her life being told she was making up things that weren't there, which only proves she was destined to write fiction.

When she's not gazing longingly a ancient artifacts or wallowing in old forgotten texts, she's busy trying to keep one step ahead of her two teenage sons. She lives with the aforementioned sons, her husband, and a demonic cat in Southern California. [from Theodosia and the Serpents of Chaos (2007)]

R. L. Lefevers grew up surrounded by shelves of old dusty books (alas! not a single ancient text or grimoire among them) and a passel of brothers. Throughout her life she has had a wide variety of pets, although she has yet to experience the joys of owning a jackal. She was also fortunate enough to have two fabulous grandmothers, neither of whom resembles Grandmother Throckmorton in the slightest. She currently lives with her husband in Southern California and -- in spite of those who accused her of daydreaming her life away -- spends her days making things up.
