Short biography
He was immersed into Christ at age 17 by J. W. Crumley, Sr. He was educated at Cordell Christian and Abilene Christian colleges, graduating from the latter institution in 1922. Lanier later obtained a master's degree from Hardin-Simmons University. He headed the Bible department at Central Christian College (now Oklahoma Christian) from 1950 to 1953 and did the same work at York College from 1956 to 1959. A gospel preacher, debater, and educator. In the last 15 years of his life, he was associated with the Bear Valley School of Preaching. For 11 years, Lanier wrote the Gospel Advocate Co.'s Teacher's Annual Lesson Commentary. From 1940-1955, Lanier served as a staff writer of the Gospel Advocate . He wrote 70 books and tracts, including Outlines of Bible History; Marriage, Divorce and Remarriage; and The Timeless Trinity.
