Short biography
Alicia LeFanu was an Anglo-Irish poet and writer. She was the daughter of Elizabeth "Betsy" Sheridan and Captain Henry LeFanu. Her grandparents were actor-educator Thomas Sheridan and his wife, writer Frances Chamberlaine Sheridan, whose biography Alicia wrote, "Memoirs of the Life and Writings of Mrs. Sheridan, Mother of the late Rt. Hon R.B. Sheridan" (1824). She died unmarried in Dublin sometime after 1844; the exact date is unknown. She is often confused with her aunt, Alicia Sheridan LeFanu (1753-1817).
