From an early age, Janet loved books and one of her first memories was making her own because her mother wouldn't buy them for her, citing "the perfectly good library just a few blocks away." Janet exacted revenge by becoming a Master-level reference librarian at the University of Alabama Graduate School of Library Service. Her BA degree in English is from Washington State University.
Prior to founding InkPaperWords, Janet lived her dream job of collection development, wherein she toiled away at a public library reading book reviews, buying books and spending someone else's money to do it.
Janet currently lives in the Pacific Northwest with her son Jesse, fiancé Daniele Barbero and Fred the cat. She recently overcame a fear of public speaking by delivering a successful poetry reading at the Ballard branch of Seattle Public Library. Her current projects include working on a second volume of poems, editing the work of other authors, book design, blogging and the ongoing project of restoring the house that belonged to her grandmother Pearl, who died at age 103.
Janet's volume of heart-rending poetry, The Eclipse and Other Poems, is available through www.quillandparchment.com as either a paperback or e-book for immediate download. Janet's editorial work is available via www.inkpaperwords.com
