His Honour Gordon Lewis AM was Australia’s first independent Road Safety Camera Commissioner. His Honour commenced legal practice in 1957 and was appointed the Director of the Law Institute of Victoria in 1975, where he served for 11 years. After three years as the Victorian Government Solicitor, he was then appointed as a County Court Judge in 1990 and served on the bench for 18 years (the last four years as an acting Judge). Between 2008 and 2011, Mr Lewis was a Deputy Chairman of the Victorian Commission for Gambling Regulation. In 2011, he was also appointed to the Anti-corruption and Integrity Consultation Panel to advise the establishment of the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission for Victoria.
