Short biography
F.C. Malby grew up in East Anglia and has taught English in the Czech Republic, the Philippines and London. She gained a First Class BA(Ed.) Honours Degree in Geography and Education, and became a teacher and a photographer. Her first novel, Take Me to the Castle, published in December 2012, won The People's Book Awards 2013. Her short story publications include The Bench, Blood Red and Bird, and her short fiction has been longlisted in The New Writer Annual Prose and Poetry Prizes 2012 and is published online at Ether Books, the Flash Flood Journal and the Puffin Review.
