This was a cute and twisted novella that took on the old saying “be careful what you wish for” because Scarlett finds herself in love with her sister’s husband and even though she has never acted on those feelings she still feels bad for crushing on him so she just stands by and hopes and wishes her life was different. Then one morning she wakes up and her dreams have come true but as time goes on her dream to be his turns into a nightmare for her. There were so many twists and turns it kept me on my toes and wanting to know what would happen next. The ending was nice and totally unexpected.… (more)

I'm torn on this book because I really really loved parts of it but others left me prepared frustrated. I didn't get the motivations behind Eloise and Hayden. It just seemed so over the top. Especially the whole wishing for a runaway bride fascination. Nor did I understand Presley for the most part.

Yet the times that Hayden and Presley did connect? Those were fantastic. The storyline kept me going because I was invested in the story but so many things we're just so out there for me, rash decisions, immaturity, and cousins or fiancees. But I wanted to see these two make it.… (more)

I have a love-hate relationship with Presley and Hayden's relationship. Something draws them to me but at the same time, they make me very irritated. These two really need to learn how to communicate.
This book was better than the first one. I appreciated how the author showed how sometimes it is just plain hard to be a woman, a mother, a boss, and a wife all at the same time.

In this book, I enjoyed Hayden more than Presley though. He wasn't as much of a jerk as he was in the first book, nor was he toying with a fiancee and the woman that he supposedly loved.… (more)

It took me a little bit to get into this story. However, once I got into it I was all in. I enjoyed the connection between Gabby and Oliver. The relationship started pretty stilted with a lot of misunderstood feelings on both parts. Slowly though, this turned into a friendship. I liked watching that evolve. Was it at times predictable? Yes, but this is romance, and we aren't rediscovering fire here.

I was frustrated at the pivotal moment between Gabby and Olly when they were in Colorado. I didn't understand her acceptance of things considering that she had spent her time discovering what was important. I just wanted that fleshed out more. Especially, what she later came to find out. The epilogue made up for it and that bonus scene was great.… (more)
