This is an outstanding book on the plant and animals and fish and general setting of the Guadalupe River, as experienced on the river. The author tells of the daily lives of the birds, fish, animals, plants, and even the people living in, or on the water.

There are many very scenic photos and a lot of local history of former life on the river at almost evry bend.

The author and his wife have travelled all stretches of the river many times. The author went through his trip logs and compiled a composite trip down the entire river with many of his stories and esperiences watching the water and the trees and wildlife as he drifted along and occasionally camped.… (more)
