Dr Thomas Gerard McGrath is a research fellow in history of education in the education department at TCD. He is the author of Politics, Interdenominational Relations and Education in the Public Ministry of Bishop James Doyle of Kildare and Leighlin (FCP, 1999, Dublin) and Bishop James Doyle of Kildare and Leighlin: A Study of Religious Renewel and Reform (FCP, 1999, Dublin).
