Donuts, donuts, donuts! Who does not like donuts. From basic and sugared, glazed, iced and frosted to filled donuts. This cookbook has 60 great recipes, some easy and some for the more experienced baker! There are even savory donuts, who knew!
The author teaches the reader the basics of prep, dry and wet ingredients. How to measure and what equipment to use.
There are a couple of pages that tell you about essential ingredients such as baking soda and baking powder, butter and oil, chocolate, cocoa powder, dairy, eggs, flour, sugar etc.
Now for the recipes, there are labels such as adults only, donut maker, homemade head start, make it mini and one bowl. Then there are recipe tips: variation tip, ingredient tip, technique tip, allergen tip and troubleshooting tip.
So with all that information, you can't go wrong with this donut cookbook. I am not experienced on making donuts so I will start out with the basics and go from there. But if you are a bit more experienced, get this cookbook for your shelves, well open of course so you can make some delicious donuts.

The Easy Baked Donut Cookbook: 60 Sweet and Savory Recipes for Your Oven and Mini Donut Maker by Sara Mellas
We have enjoyed baked donuts in the past and know we can make them healthy as they are not deep fried. Can't wait to find other food combination from this book that will work for us.
Good size for my kitchen, 8" x 9" Starts with colorful pictures and table of contents where recipes are broken up into basic, glazed, ice and frosted, filled and donut holes, and savory.
Intro starts with a summary, info on prep, measurement tips, how to combine ingredients, essential equipment and ingredients and so many more tips before you start.
Tasty tips and troubleshooting is included along with recipe label and recipe tips explained with icon images.
Each category of recipes starts with an index of whats included along with an arrow showing what of the recipes has an accompanying color photo.
Each recipe has a title, prep, bake time, inactive time and a summary of the item.
recipe labels are included, servings, mini or donut hole amounts.
Tells you which appliances you will need.
List of ingredients is included and what I LOVE about the measurements is that they are listed in US and UK. Some recipes have a LOT of ingredients, make sure you have them all before starting.
You should be able to substitute for your healthier dietary needs: low sodium, low fat, low sugar and fresh vs. canned items.
Directions are given and i LOVE that it tells you depending on which appliance you are using, how to bake it. I do not have a donut baker so I'll be using the oven.
It also tells you how to frost them and serve.
The only things missing are nutritional information and pictures of each recipe.
Can't wait to try the apple cider donuts and pumpkin, banana or blueberry (without glaze).
At the back of the book are sections for resources, recipes by occasion and index.
Acknowledgements are included along with about the author.
A KEEPER for me because I know how to make them edible for our healthier dietary needs.
Would be 5 star if each recipe has a photo and nutritional information included.
I received this review copy from The Callisto Publisher's Club and this is my honest opinion.
