Short biography
Born and raised in the cotton patch of backwoods Georgia near the Satilla River. Attended elementary school at the great Satilla School where I learned to spit watermelon seeds, ride horses bareback and fish out stumpknockers when the river was oh so low! Attended schools in Georgia, taught over 5,000 students in high school and Georgia behavior change programs, write stories from my home at Pear Beach, near the river. I have a dog, Red Dog, cool cat named Sam, two sons, Bart, an artist in grad school at Colorado State University in Ft. Collins and Keith who can play and sing country music!
