Short biography
Bernd A. Mertz (born on 10.07.1924 at 07.25 in Berlin, died on 17.11.1996 in Frankfurt) was one of the most well-known German post-war astrologers. Mertz initially worked as a director, script editor, journalist and appeared on stage as a cabaret artist together with his wife Christiane Eisler-Mertz. He discovered astrology in the late 1950s. His convictions, combined with his background in journalism and talent as a writer, made him one of the most important astrological figures in the public sphere. Mertz was the author of 50 books and countless essays and was a very popular lecturer and speaker at congresses.
