At various times in her life, Ren Meves has been a college mathematics professor, a professional dancer, a gun-bearer for the tourists visiting the Anan Bear Observatory in Southeast Alaska, a software engineer, and a field-biologist for the U.S Forest Service. She grew up in Northern California immersed in a world of theater and dance, her closest friends the animals her family raised on their miniature farm. She lives in Northern California with her husband, garden and chickens, teaching dance and canoeing when she is not writing.
