David Maxwell Owens Miller -- author and editor of military, political, and other works -- is a former officer in the British armed forces who served in the Falklands, Germany, the Netherlands, Malaysia, and Singapore. He has also worked for Jane's Information Group, where he edited Jane's Major Warships 1997. He has also written The History of Browning Firearms (978-1-59228-910-3) and The Illustrated Directory of Guns (978-0-681-06685-4). In 2000, he published the biography Lady DeLancey at Waterloo: A Story of Duty and Devotion. He lives in England.
