I grew up spending many wonderful hours reading at the Squirrel Hill branch of the Carnegie Library system in Pittsburgh.
After graduating from University of Michigan, I moved to Minneapolis to intern at Milkweed Editions. I also sold books and hung out with chatty cockatiels at Wild Rumpus. Traveling on to New York, I worked as a children’s book editor at Scholastic for many years, editing, writing, and working with authors, agents, packagers, and illustrators. In 2006, I relocated to Seattle, Washington, to create content for toys and games at Cranium.
Now I am a freelance author, writing fiction and nonfiction, and I'm getting my MLIS degree at University of Washington. I am a member of SCBWI.
