This is a vastly expanded, enhanced and beautified big sister of Lucy's earlier very popular finishing booklet.
It contains essential finishing skills that can be used in almost every situation, written in a way that will make you eager and confident to apply them. There are a series of small Challenge Swatches throughout the book to encourage you to try out (and compare) the various techniques in a small-scale situation.

A collection of Lucy's ingenious ways with self-patterning sock yarns (or any sock yarn!), as well as a treasury of sock-knitting arcana. Six explicit patterns in multiple sizes are given, as well as many ways of customizing these with other heels, toes, or cuffs. No matter what level you knit at, you're bound to find something of interest here.

As with Lucy's other knitting video I purchased, there are many interesting techniques. I am still a "newbie" at knitting socks, so I have only used one of the techniques. But in reviewing the techniques, I can see where the techniques would add to the fun of making socks. Lucy has a way of calmly teaching these techniques, so you feel that you will be able to apply these techniques,too!
