The sixteen-year-old author Jeriel Ng originated from the country of Singapore, having spent the first nine years of his life there. At the age of ten, he moved to England with a stay of approximately five months before moving to the United States in 2005.
At an early age, Jeriel Ng had already begun developing an interest in writing. Thus, he began to spend his time over the years focusing on several different projects, most of which being casual, leisurely works. In November 2009, he began focusing on his first serious project, a dark fantasy novel entitled Storm of Ire: Callous Cruelty.
Later on in the same month of 2010, Jeriel Ng began to work on his new project, The Syndicate. A more profound and philosophical work, this new project started to shift into Jeriel's main focus, as he proceeded to use the idea for his contribution to the 2010 edition of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). Satisfied with the underlying themes and principles that emerged in this novel, Jeriel Ng desired to take it to the next level. After putting the finishing touches on this novel, he finally released it in the spring of 2011 as his first published novel.
