Bronislava Nijinska was a leading choreographer and ballet teacher of the 20th century. She trained in Russia and danced with the Ballets Russes in Europe, as did her brother Vaslav Nijinsky. She choreographed several famous ballets for that company, including Les Noces, The Blue Train, and Les Biches. In the 1930s she had her own company called called the Polish Ballets of Paris. She emigrated to America in 1938.
