I had worked in High Tech Manufacturing for 20 years but was downsized in 2001. I love science and science fiction. It has been one of the main driving forces in my life. When people asked me what I wanted to do when I grew up I would tell them, "I either want to be studying something scientifically or writing about it science fictionally". I know it is not perfect English, but it describes me perfectly. So when my manufacturing career went down the drain I started to look for something else. That something was writing and publishing.
