Short biography
Edward Stratemeyer was asked by William T. Adams' publisher to write An Undivided Union (it is believed that Stratemeyer may have been given some notes and bits of manuscript but there is little detail on this point). Stratemeyer, who had been a fan of Optic's work as a child and saw Optic as one of his role models, was pleased to do this work. An Undivided Union is the last book in the Blue and Grey on Land series.
