De Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) is één van 's werelds grootste duiktrainingorganisatie en werd in 1966 gesticht in de Verenigde Staten door John Cronin en Ralph Erikson.

Leden van PADI, waaronder duikcentra, vakantieoorden, opleidingscentra, instructeurs, en divemasters, onderwijzen de meerderheid van 's werelds recreatieve duikers, met bijna 946.000 certificeringen per jaar. PADI heeft kantoren in Australië, Canada, Zwitserland, Japan, Zweden, het Verenigd Koninkrijk, Nieuw-Zeeland en de Verenigde Staten.
