British cartoonist from the 1950s until his death in 2003, specializing in captionless single-panel gags. Much of his work appeared in Punch and Private Eye. As a secondary-school art teacher in the early 1950s, he was nicknamed "Larry" by his students after the American actor Larry Parks.
