Corinne Jackson: If I Lie Quinn’s kissed a guy who is not Carey, her boyfriend. And she got caught. Shunned by everyone she knows, Quinn loses her friends, her reputation, and her identity because Carey’s a Marine who’s serving overseas, and beloved in their small, military town. But Quinn didn’t cheat. She could clear her name, but that would mean revealing secrets that aren’t hers to share. So she stays silent. But when Carey goes MIA, Quinn must decide how far she’ll go to protect her boyfriend…and her promise.
Heidi Kling, Pam Van Hylckama Vlieg, and C. Lee McKenzie: Two and Twenty Dark Tales
In this anthology, 20 authors explore the dark and hidden meanings behind some of the most beloved Mother Goose nursery rhymes through short story retellings. The dark twists on classic tales range from exploring whether Jack truly fell or if Jill pushed him instead to why Humpty Dumpty, fragile and alone, sat atop so high of a wall.
Ingrid Paulson: Valkyrie Rising When Elise visits Norway, she doesn't expect boys to go missing amid rumors of impossible kidnappings. Nor does she anticipate something powerful to awaken in her, urging her to join as band of mythological female warriors. The Valkyries have returned and Ellie must decide if she stands with or against them.
Tamara Ireland Stone: Time Between Us Anna and Bennett were never supposed to meet: she lives in 1995 Chicago and he lives in 2012 San Francisco. But Bennett’s ability to travel through time and space brings him into Anna’s life, and with him, a new world of adventure and possibility. Against a ticking clock, Anna and Bennett are forced to ask themselves how far they can push the bounds of fate—and what consequences they can bear in order to stay together.
