Short biography
Mietek Pemper was a prisoner in the Nazi Germany concentration camp Kracow-Płaszów. Because he spoke German, he became the stenographer for concentration camp commandant Amon Göth, thereby saving his own life as well as the lives of countless other Jews. After the war he was an important witness to the war crimes of Goth and others at the camp.
