As an edited work on radio this has to be the best book so far and a modern update is needed althought there are no better candidates in the horizon. Radio, in itself, is a complex thing, with many faces and ways to interact and exist. One of the best things of this collection of texts is to showcase it. For anyone with a deep interest in radio this surely is a must have.

This book is a conglomeration of many different aspects of the history of and uses of radio and communication. Of course, it was written before the internet had taken off, but it is still worth dipping into. Great ideas never go out of style. Read about pirate radio stations, guerilla radio, radio from beyond the grave. "
