Beginning with the Abolitionist Movement and ending with the opening of the Tremont Street Subway in 1897, Puleo meticulously recounts Boston’s most historical milestones but he also features lesser known, but equally important advances in other disciplines, such as medicine, technology, and engineering. Stephen Puleo is the author of the best seller “The Boston Italians,” the critically acclaimed “Dark Tide” and “Due to Enemy Action.” Puleo holds a master’s degree in history. He lives in Weymouth, MA. Free event.
