Alice Maud Fife, third daughter of Lieut.-General Fife RE JP, was born in the East Indies c 1865 and returned to England to attend school. On July 15 1891, at St. Thomas's Church Goring-on Thames, she married William Stepney Rawson MA, third son of Sir Rawson W. Rawson, KCMG CB. She contributed historical short stories to Harper's Magazine between 1901 and 1903.
