Jeanne Ray is the New York TImes best selling author of Julie and Romeo and 4 other novels.  Working as a registered nurse for forty years, Ms Ray wrote her first novel at sixty years of age.  She worked as a registered nurse at the First Clinic in Nashville, Tennessee. She is married and has two daughters, one of whom is also a novelist [[Ann Patchett]]. Together she and her husband have ten grandchildren and live in Nashville TN USA. [from Eat Cake (2003)]
