Short biography: He entered the Nashville Bible College. (Now David Lipscomb College) He continued in school here for about five years, beginning in 1897. He had begun to preach and while in school preached somewhere nearly every Sunday and held many Evangelistic meetings in vacation time.

G W Riggs preached in Southern California, and within a relatively few years had established eighteen churches in the area. In 1942 an article appeared in the West Coast Christian in which it was stated that about fifty churches had grown out of his work in Southern California.
