Rebecca Rupp has written more than a dozen books for children and adults. She holds a PhD in cell biology and biochemistry and has written hundreds of articles for magazines, including Country Journal, Early American Life, Mother Earth News, Natural History, and Utne Reader. She is the resource editor for Home Education Magazine, a contributing editor to GreenPrints, and an educational consultant to the Vermont Center for the Book. She lives in Vermont.

Rebecca Rupp is the beloved author of more than a dozen books for young readers, among them The Dragon of Lonely Island, Sarah Simpson’s Rules for Living, and Octavia Boone’s Big Questions About Life, the Universe, and Everything. She and her family live in Swanton, Vermont. Linda Urban’s debut novel, A Crooked Kind of Perfect, was selected for many best books lists and was nominated for twenty state awards. Her novel Hound Dog True received four starred reviews and was named a Kirkus Best Book of 2011. A former bookseller, she lives in Montpelier, Vermont, with her family.
