About the Author
Charlie Sheen was born in New York City on September 3, 1965. His birth name is Carlos Irwin Estevez; he is the son of actor Martin Sheen. In 1974 he picked up the stage name of Charlie Sheen when he made his debut in a film called The Execution of Private Slovik which starred his father. Sheen show more later starred in two films directed by Oliver Stone, Platoon in 1986 and Wall Street in 1987 (with his father, Martin Sheen, playing the role of the character's father). In 1994 he was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, on Hollywood Boulevard. In 2002 Sheen won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Television series for Spin City.
