Jim was one f'ed up dude. Who knew he had an 146 IQ. Could drink like a fish. Did find some of the questions about his death interesting. Lot of credit to his band mates for putting up with him. Seeems like he had a lot of anger.

A well written book about the life and mystery surrounding Jim Morrison

Realizing that I know a lot of what I think I know about addiction from first reading this book decades ago. Kid brother type to Jim Morrison, after Morrison's death, manager to Iggy Pop and Ray Manzarek, Sugerman's memoir is as vivid, detailed, enthusiastic and harrowing as I remember.

Lots of great pictures. Morrison was a flawed time bomb just waiting to explode. I feel that he had very little to no adult contact as a child. Probably due to his father and it seems like his mother just tossed him in the corner and let him grow on his own devices. Which turned him into a man/child with severe self destructive tendencies.
