Short biography
Geneviève Tabouis, née Geneviève Rapatel Le Quesne, was a French political columnist and one of the first women to achieve international fame as a journalist. Her columns were widely read throughout Europe and America between World War I and World War II. To escape the Nazis, who hated her left-wing politics, she fled to the USA, where she founded and published the magazine Pour la Victoire. She returned to France at the end of the war.
