I found this book in the used book store of my locl library and picked it up when I read the dedication "To Patrick Dennis, who stood by in emergenct with plot wheel, and who furnished the tasteful interiors." Who could resist a trip in the wayback machine into a piece of froth about 16 girls who attended an exclusive girls' high school in the 1930's in New York?

Amusing and acerbic, the value of this book is more sociological than literary. It's filled with topical references that kept me Googling names and events and it made me realize with some rgret just how much society has changed in the past 50 years.… (more)
