Tina Traster will read from her brand new memoir Rescuing Julia Twice: A Mother’s Tale of Russian Adoption and Overcoming Reactive Attachment Disorder. Traster’s writing has appeared in numerous newspapers, magazines, websites, literary journals, and on NPR. She writes the Burb Appeal column for the New York Post, anthologized in Burb Appeal: The Collection.
Also on the program, Glaring Omissions founding member Minda Zetlin will read "Not Afraid to Jump", an essay about her mother. Zetlin is president of the American Society of Journalists and Authors, and writes the Start Me Up column at the Inc. Magazine website. She is author or co-author of several books, most recently The Geek Gap, written with Bill Pfleging.
There will be a book signing for both Hands at Work and Rescuing Julia Twice following the reading.
