Short biography
J. M. Trible was a talented preacher and writer in the Christian Church, a classmate of E. V. Zollars and T. B. Knowles at Bethany College. After preaching in Norfolk, Virginia, Memphis and Franklin, Tennessee, Buffalo, New York, and St. Louis, Missouri, he was selected to teach Biblical literature at Bethany College. In 1891, when he was just 39 years old, he was selected as President of the college, but died suddenly before the school year began. He is buried in the Campbell cemetery at Bethany.
