Shelley Wachsmann, Archaeological Institute of America lecturer and host, is the Meadows Professor of Biblical Archaeology in the Nautical Archaeology Program at Texas A&M University, where he has been teaching courses in ancient seafaring and biblical archaeology since 1990. 
Professor Wachsmann is a Life Member of the Archaeological Institute of America, and he has lectured annually on the AIA’s national lecture circuit since 1992. He has carried out extensive fieldwork in the eastern Mediterranean, and has published four books and over sixty articles on the results of his field research and on other archaeological subjects.
