Dr. Steven Waterhouse has served as pastor of Westcliff Bible Church since 1985. He has a Doctor of Ministry degree from Dallas Theological Seminary, a Master of Theology in Hebrew and Greek from Capital Seminary near Washington, D.C., and undergraduate degrees in social sciences from Spring Arbor University and Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan .
Dr. Waterhouse has taught Bible doctrine in colleges and church ministries in the United States and overseas, has been the keynote speaker at National Alliance for the mentally Ill (NAMI) conventions, and has lectured at various institutions and conference workshops on counseling. He is the author of "Not By Bread Alone, An Outlined Guide to Bible Doctrine," a 575 page systematic theology book; "Blessed Assurance, A Defense of the Doctrine of Eternal Security;" What Must I Do To be Saved, the Bible's Definition of Saving Faith;" and four counseling books: "Strength For His People," which offers a Biblical perspective on mental illnesses; "Life's Tough Questions," a compendium of essays on suffering, depression, demons versus mental illness, abortion, and suicide and death issues; "Holy Matrimony, the Image of God in Marriage;" and "Depression Recovery According to the Bible." He has also written "Outside the Heavenly City," a work that speaks to New Testament references to abortion, specifically Abortion in Rome and the Early Church's Response. Several of Dr. Waterhouse's titles are being used as textbooks in seminaries both in the United States and overseas.
