Novelist and screenwriter Ian Weir will read at The Reach Gallery Museum in Abbotsford. Ian's first novel, "Daniel O'Thunder", a darkly comic literary thriller set in Dickensian London, was short-listed for four awards, including the Ethel Wilson Prize and the Commonwealth Writers' First Book Award. His new novel, "The Resurrection Man", will be released this coming fall. While at The Reach check out the latest exhibition, a film installation by Abbotsford native, Rodney Graham, entitled "Pending Rodney Graham - How I Became a Ramblin Man" circulated by the Musee d'art comtemporain de Montreal. Rodney Graham is an artist of international stature whose work has been shown at the world's most prominent galleries. Ian's film background - most recently as Creator and Executive Producer of CBC's Drama Series, "Arctic Air" - give him a unique insight into the making of film and narrative as shown through this medium.
