Lots of hybrid cultivars, no emphasis whatsoever on native plants, surprising in view of its regional emphasis. The author even found hybrid chokecherries to tout. In this book there are no elderberries (surprising, because hybrid cultivars are readily available!), no walnuts or hickories (I suppose technically not fruit, but if we're being that pedantic, berries are questionable and why were hazelnuts included?); and of course no wild plums. (Does it have sea-buckthorn or haskap? I should check.) Propagating your own plants is not covered here: you buy everything.
